the following upcoming events:
NIDDK Lymphatics in the Digestive System: Physiology, Health, and
Disease
The NIDDK announces a 2-day workshop titled “Lymphatics in the Digestive System: Physiology,
Health, and Disease.”
The workshop will be held in Bethesda, MD, on November 3–4, 2009, and will address current
research on the biology of the lymphatic system, the role of lymphatics in organ function with an
emphasis on the digestive system, and needs for future research on lymphatics in areas of NIDDK
interest.
Bringing together investigators working on a variety of systems to stimulate discussion, particularly
with respect to research that may form a basis for future therapies to address organ dysfunction related
to lymphatics, the workshop will feature both oral presentations and a poster session.
