Vital Statistics

The National Digestive Diseases Information Clearinghouse (NDDIC), a service of the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases, answers inquiries about digestive diseases and produces and distributes educational materials.

• In a year, the NDDIC responds to more than 12,500 inquiries from the public, mostly from patients and health professionals, and distributes more than 227,000 publications.



• The NDDIC's most popular publications are

• More than 13,500 web pages link to NDDIC, from websites sponsored by Government agencies, universities, pharmaceutical companies, professional organizations, voluntary groups, and individuals.



• NDDIC exhibited at eight professional meetings in the past year and sent materials to a variety of health fairs throughout the Nation.
